The Grand Slam Club
founded by Bob Housholder in 1956
Grand Slam Club/Ovis is a 501(C)(3) organization of hunters/conservationists who are dedicated to growing and improving wild sheep and goat populations worldwide, as well as North American big game.
In March 2001, the Grand Slam Club and Ovis, Inc. merged into one organization and are now known as Grand Slam Club/Ovis. This organization is classified by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization.
The goals and purpose of Grand Slam Club/Ovis are to:
To be regarded as the organizational leader and source for the records-keeping of legally-harvested Grand Slams of North American Wild Sheep®, Ovis World Slams® of wild sheep of the world, Capra World Slams® of wild goats of the world and the Super Ten®, Super 25™ and Super Slam of North American Big Game®.
Encourage the use of legally issued permits, tags, and/or licenses for the hunting of wild mountain sheep, goats, and other North American species.
To educate and inform people of the world about goats and wild mountain sheep as well ass other North American big game.
Use donations and financial resources to benefit, directly or indirectly, wild mountain sheep and goats and other North American big game.
