About This Hunt
Many believe the wild sheep to be the pinnacle of North American hunting. Dall Sheep inhabit high alpine mountains and are found throughout all the major ranges of Alaska. “The great white sheep of the north” is what many dream of taking when they come to Alaska.
Dall Sheep harvested are 8 – 10 years old, and average 36” – 38” length with an occasional 40 inch. Most sheep hunts are done “bivy style” from minimal backpack camps accessed by airplane and ATV from the lodge. The remote portions of the Alaska Range have historically produced several rams each year over 40” length.
