These are 5-day hunts. Arrive on Sunday, if possible hunt Sunday evening, hunt 5-full days, depart on Saturday.
Black Bear, spring and fall hunts, spot and stalk.
This is an excellent hunt for excellent bears. The days are long, and there are bears of all colors and sizes. Our harvested
bears average 6 feet, the largest taken being 7.5 feet, measured from the nose to the base of the tail. There’s lots of open country, and the primary method for hunting these big bruins is "spot and stalk."
The outfitter has had great success, and nothing is more exciting than harvesting a bear by this method. We hunt rifle or bow on approximately 3,700 square miles of area, in central British Columbia, Canada, giving us plenty of habitat to find bears.
Our goal is to take six hunters each season on a 1-on-1 or 2-on-1 basis. This will keep pressure to a minimum and provide a more personalized hunt with the guide outfitter as your guide.
The outfitter is an avid bowhunter, and has personally taken many bears with his bow and is an official measurer for Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett.
$3,000 for the first bear, second bear add an additional $1,000.
No trophy fees.
Additional Costs:
Non Resident Hunting license and one tag $378. CDN (approx. $290. USD)
Additional tag is desired $189. (approx. $145.) Taxes $150, Guide Outfitters of BC Wildlife Conservation Fund fee is $200.
Estimated total additional costs for two (2) bears: $786. USD

Black Bear hunts are done traveling by truck throughout the area to spot and then stalk bears and then returning to the base camp at night. The option to camp out in the remote regions of our area is available. We can also arrange a bear hunt from our moose camp where we hunt the surrounding area from horseback. We are open to customizing our hunts to meet our clients wishes/needs.
The territory has lots of open areas such as natural meadows, swamps and old logging where the bears like to feed. This gives the client the opportunity to hunt the bears without baits or dogs, offering intense excitement.Black Bear hunts are done traveling by truck throughout the area to spot and then stalk bears and then returning to the base camp at night. Our camps are off the grid, but we do have generators that can be used for charging devices, running sleep apnea equipment, etc.
We have a satellite phone that can be used to phone out and where we can check for messages for ourselves or our clients.
Depending on the hunt agreed upon, lodging is either cabins or wall tents. If the hunter wishes we can also provide a low impact satellite camp in the middle of his hunt to access the most remote corners of our area and would include dome tents, sleeping pad, prepared food, etc.
Depending on your flight arrival time, we will either meet you at the airport and head out to camp, or you will have to take a cab to a hotel in Williams Lake and we will meet you there in the morning. Due to the remoteness of our camp, we do not transport clients at night. The cab fare and cost of the hotel and any other costs while in town will be the hunter’s responsibility.
