Experience the Moose hunt of a lifetime in an area of over 50,000 acres in Newfoundland, Canada!
Newfoundland is an island in the North Atlantic in Eastern Canada and offers you some of the most exciting and successful Moose and large Black Bear hunting adventures in the world!
It is a place of limitless unspoiled beautiful green northern forests, marshes, bogs, lakes, and streams.
For over 27 years, these hunts have been conducted in this remote Moose-hunting area with tremendous success.
There is almost no natural predation, and our mild winters have practically no effect on our moose population. These factors, along with there being nothing major to weaken the Moose during the winter months, result in some of the highest Moose population densities and hunting success rates on the planet.
Further, we plan and work year-around in our areas to maintain and ensure your success, and we also restrict the number of hunters that we take in any given week to 7, much less than our capacity to accommodate.
As a result, our opportunity rate for Moose has averaged over 94% over the past five (5) years.
You will enjoy a professional 1-on-1 guide and hunt from remote drop off points accessed with our large well-maintained wilderness mobile equipment fleet of 4WD pick-up trucks, and amphibious 8WD tracked ARGO’s with ROP, quad 4WD all-terrain vehicles (ATV’s), quad 4-tracked ATV’s, 4WD side-by-side ATV’s, and boats with motors.
Your hunt begins by using our wilderness 4WD or ATV equipment to travel within walking distance of prime areas, and then from there, we hunt on foot into the home these massive animals.
Spotting and stalking, and with the use of Moose calls, your professional guide will use all of his skills and years of experience to put you on your game.
If you have walking difficulties, your guide will use our wilderness mobile equipment to transport you to the drop-off points minimal walking id needed to access areas that contain abundant Moose and Bear populations.
We take care of all cleaning and care of your trophy and 100% organic, delicious moose meat, and store in an on-site walk-in refrigerated chiller before being transported by us at no cost to you to a local professional butcher and/or taxidermist. When ready, we arrange for the shipping of your processed meat by commercial reefer trucks to a cold storage depot near your home for your pick up.
We limit the total number of hunters for any week to a maximum of 7 overall, allowing us to spread your hunts out over greater areas, maintaining very low hunter density and low hunting pressure on the Moose and Bear populations.
When you choose Newfoundland, Canada, for your Black Bear hunting destination, you put yourself in a position to possibly harvest the next world record Black Bear.
Newfoundland indeed has some of the largest black bears in the world, with very low hunting pressure. We have rare bears in excess of 500 pounds with genetics and abundant natural food supply that produce incredibly high Boone and Crockett, and Pope and Young, skull measurements.
Your chances of beating the existing record are as good or better here as they are anywhere else in the world.
At A1 Hunts, our remote, unspoiled green wilderness black bear hunting areas are full of wild berries and decaying over-mature trees that are rich in ants and other small insects. Berries and insects are the staples of the Black Bear diet, and our habitat supports a very dense Black Bear population.
