This Adventure Hunt takes place in one of, if not THE TOP UNIT among Alberta’s handful of ELITE AREAS, for MAGNUM MULE DEER Production. Not only are we right in the middle of this Outstanding MEGA – MULEY Archery Hunting Action, but WE ALSO HOLD ALL 4 of the PREMIER ARCHERY Mule Deer and 4 Archery Whitetail Non-Resident Permits available in THE ENTIRE UNIT.
This WORLD CLASS Mule Deer Program that we EXCLUSIVELY operate, has and will continue to annually produce more BIG Free Range Mule Deer per capita than nearly anywhere else comparably ON EARTH. This is as good as Annual Over-The-Counter Tags can get.
If desired, guests can choose to combo with our “Ghosts of the Plains”, the Whitetail Deer.
Our South Central Alberta, mixed bush, slough bottom and agricultural based unit, boasts an approx. 50/50 population of these two iconic species and our MAGNUM Old Age Class Whitetail exist in prevalence.
Guests will likely see very few other people aside from the Farmers/Ranchers that make their living off this land.
This all-inclusive adventure hunt takes place along the most remote stretch of inaccessible wilderness that the world famous Athabasca River system has to offer.
Our camp is located along the second largest National Park in the WORLD and the largest freshwater delta on earth! You will fly right into our world-class program and camp for this all-inclusive adventure hunt.

6 FULL DAYS BOW HUNTING “Summer-Pattern to Pre-Rut” Mule Deer with optional Combo Whitetail Deer, in a Best of the ELITE, World Class, low pressure/impact BIG DEER Program and Unit. Hunt Top~End Genetics where bucks can gross in excess of 180” at merely 3 years old, with high population representation of mature and old age class 6-9 year range bucks, grossing from 160” to well in excess of 200” B&C. Expect the potential for multiple interactions and final stalks, resulting in shot opportunities on big deer in high percentage programs. THIS IS A TOP TIER UNIT in which focus is OLD BUCKS and in high odds plays. PROPER preparation for this hunt is PARAMOUNT to shooter performance and success.

If Flying into Calgary AB. A rental vehicle will be required to complete the last leg to the Hunt destination and base. Consisting of all travel via highway, the trip will take approximately 2 hours, North ~ East to Hanna.
All Guests will arrive in Hanna on Sunday afternoon and proceed to the Travelodge, where they will find their pre-booked and reserved hotel accommodations. Guests will have continual contact with Guide, and at an approx. predetermined mutual ETA, meet their Guide-Outfitter at the hotel. Arriving early enough to wrap up the standard meet and greet, paperwork, and licensing etc. may even provide enough time to head out for some Pre-Hunt evening scouting.
Once clients have arrived in Hanna and made contact with us, their commissioned All Inclusive vacation has begun, and it remains so until hunt commencement.
Total travel time to the town of Hanna AB, is approx. 2 hours North ~ East, from Calgary.
All applicable Alberta hunting licenses and tags will meet guests in Camp.
Guest’s enjoy a FULL 6-DAYS hunting from safe, comfortable accommodations.
Trophies will be prepared and skinned to hunter specifics, frozen in camp and prepared for travel.
Personal effects, including any medication, painkillers etc. that you think you may require. BE PREPARED.
LIGHTWEIGHT Leather, waterproof, ankle high boots, QUIET, no leather squeaks or creaks (this is crucial).
Stalking shoes, a better option than boots (weather dependent). Stalking shoes can be “runners”, (outstanding). Think light, nonintrusive.
Alternate pair of stalking shoes. If one is wet, dry time is needed.
Spring/Fall coat. Extra sweaters, long underwear, etc.
Quiet Rain Gear, pants and jacket with a hood.
Rubber boots.
Warm head covering and a cap. Lighter type earthen tones.
Face Mask. REQUIRED MAINLY FACED INTO DIRECT SUNLIGHT PROGRAMS, early morn and late evening. Lighter earthen tones.
Light to medium weight gloves — have a couple options.
If knee pads are desired, and they are at times, NO VELCRO CLOSURES. Buckle type fasteners ONLY. Have the straps custom built and sewed & riveted on if required. Check your pads, assure they DO NOT RESONATE SOUND. Some materials are superior to others.
Weapon & sufficient ammo. Bow & MINIMUM 1 dozen arrows. QUIVERS ~ BOW MOUNTED WHILE HUNTING, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Alberta minimum Bow requirements ~ Minimum Legal draw weight 40 lbs ~ Minimum legal arrow length 28 inch to broadhead tip ~ Minimum legal 7/8 cutting diameter Broad Head. Expandable Broad Heads NOT Permitted In This Camp, NO EXCEPTIONS.
BOWS, TUNED DOWN! IF NOT ABLE TO DRAW FROM KNEES, WITH BOW IN THE HORIZONTAL ON THE GROUND, YOU HAVE TOO MUCH DRAW WEIGHT!! TURN THAT SUCKER DOWN.
If not Traditional shooting. Full capture rests are SUPERIOR IN THIS GAME & PREFERRED. Think “Whisker Biscuit”. Others WILL cost you!
If not Traditional shooting. Fixed multi pin sights ONLY. No adjustable pin style sights permitted, NOT practical here. These WILL cost you!
Case for bow DAILY transport. Protect your bow. (A backup bow and release is a welcomed sight when arriving in camp).
RELEASE’S. Try to stay away from Velcro closures. Buckle straps provide better draw length/form consistency and DO NOT MAKE NOISE.
Optics ~ Rangefinder, binoculars, a spotter on a tripod, camera. Cameras & phones ~ GPS SHUT OFF IN ALL IMAGE CAPTURING DEVICES.
Any Camo. Pattern clothing is fine. Regardless what it is, IT MUST BE QUIET WHEN CRAWLING AND BELLY CRAWLING IN SUBSTRATE with NO hollow tone. BEST is fleece, cotton and wool types etc. WORST is wind/rain resistant outerwear. Select carefully.
Daypack for keeping gear organized. WE DO NOT STALK WITH PACKS. PRE~RIG so that needed possible’s are on your person.
Thermacell. Bring volume refills. Have small bottle/aerosol, sufficient volume of mosquito repellent. It is IMPOSSIBLE TO EXIST UNDETECTED AND REMAIN IN THE GAME if you are being consumed by insects. (We play the wind).
FLASHLIGHT, HEADLAMP, KNIFE, small & simple weapon maintenance supplies. Any small hunt related items that are important to you.
NO FOLDING/LOCK BLADE FIELD USE KNIVES PERMITTED ~ 1 PIECE FOR ALL FIELD USE PERMITTED ONLY. (SAFETY).
Coolers/Totes sufficient to haul home FROZEN meat, capes etc. If unable to haul home and desired, meat can be donated. APO can supply totes if prearranged, priced at cost.
The normal weather and temperature on our Trophy Mule Deer Hunts can fluctuate on a daily basis. Normal daytime temps will be around 70 to 80 Degree F. However be prepared for lows down to as low as 35 Deg. weather system dependent. Mornings may be cool, with rapidly rising daytime temps the norm.
Guests should expect from hot and dry, through to cool and rainy. BE PREPARED FOR BOTH.
Weather conditions normal fall moderate and quite seasonably pleasant, but exceptions happen. BE PREPARED.

You have the option of either flying into Calgary International or driving into Alberta. Detailed directions will be provided to all guests prior to their scheduled hunt, regardless travel method. If Flying into Calgary AB. A rental vehicle will be required to complete the last leg to the Hunt destination and base, Hanna Alberta. Consisting of all travel via highway, the trip will take approximately 2 hours, North-East to Hanna.
